Lessons from the Green Nation ep2.

Hi. You're welcome to another episode of my story...

I promised to hint you about the Ewe Esinsin .
OK let me Start from here.
Ewe Esinsin as it is popularly called in the Yoruba language in Nigeria is a green plant which posses a stinging and burning sensation. All that is required for the manifestation of it power is just a touch by any part of your skin. You'll feel a cut at first but you won't be able to figure out the cut .after that, you'll feel a kinda sharp pain... Well, the pain intensity depends on the quantity exposed to you...
It is known as the stinging Nettle.
Below is the picture of the stinging Nettle.
stinging Nettle....
The stinging Nettle....
A little but dangerous plant. It forms a cryptic coloration with some other harmless plant so distinguishing it takes a very important effort.
But even at the negative aspect of this plant, I got to know it's contains some therapeutic qualities which is used in herbs and probably in the pharmaceutical.
Stinging Nettle can be used in the following ways:

1.As a medicinal tea
2. It can be cooked like spinach and added to stew.hmmm... Who's going to pluck that?
3. It can be used as analgesic for joint pain and other body pain topically.
4. It can be used to calm an upset stomach... Wow.... You mean that devilish thing?

Here we are, Considering the negative and positive aspect of a plant but I think the positive outweigh the negative...

Back to the main gist... In the process of planting, mum said something, she said ensure you don't leave a trace of your planting around or else, the squirrel and other animals will feast on it all...
Really???... So I'll have to make sure no maize grain lies helpless on the soil? That's another job...
I did as she commanded but I didn't follow a rule.... She said, a hole for planting should contain a maximum of 4 seeds... But I never loved farming and I wanted to be through with my own seeds, so I planted in a hole the lucky Number of grain that left my hands but most of it was a majority of four.. I even had upto 9 in a hole...
After all, it will only yield the increase... I thought within myself but it wasn't quite long that the germination of my work started and my secrets were exposed...
Hmmm... Now to the lessons...

1.you have a special ability in you. Never look down on  your self.
The stinging Nettle is a small plant .. You can easily step on it but it poesses a great power that even strong men take cautions when sighted. It wasn't just a terror all through it life but it also has a soothing and therapeutic qualities.
You have a potential and a defense..  use it judiciously.

2. Never put all your egg in one basket. It may be dangerous.
I planted beyond the required seeds in a hole a because I want to be done in no time. The seeds all germinated but I learnt that the fruit from such hole will be of a low quality because the seeds have to compete for the available resources.

3. Never make noise or show yourself on your way to stardom
Mum said "ensure you leave no trace of the seeds so that squirrels and other animals will not feast on it"
Leaving a trace of the seeds sends a signal to the animals and they begin to search the soil to uproot other seeds. If the traces can be clear. Then the seed will develop into a full plant which cannot be destroyed by the animals
Silence in the process of victory is a great virtue, only a few have it...

OK..  Let's put a pause here ... Kindly comment and invite your friends...
